Poolemead Road - resurfacing update

After securing the significant funds in the 2023/2024 budget, Councillors Sarah Moore and Tim Ball are pleased to confirm the resurfacing of Poolemead Road is scheduled to start on 15th May 2023.

A letter will be sent to all residents prior to the commencement of the work confirming how the resurfacing will be undertaken.

This work is to resurface the remaining section of Poolemead Road from it's junction with Sheridan Road up to it's junction with Whiteway Road.

This will obviously have an impact on the bus services whilst the work takes place and we will provide an update on this as soon as it is made available.

If you have any queries, please do get in touch with either Sarah or Tim,

Local Elections - Thursday 4 May 2023

Local community champions Tim Ball and Sarah Moore have been selected to stand for Twerton in the Local Election on May 4th. Use both your votes for a strong local Lib Dem team. We can only continue the improvements in B&NES if we elect two local Lib Dems here.

TIM BALL: Tim has been serving as a voice for Twerton and Whiteway on the council since 1991. As councillor, he has challenged the council on bettering their policies on a vast number of issues. For instance, Tim was able to persuade the council to introduce improved housing standards and restrictions on Student Accommodation blocks and convince the council to update its autism policies. Tim cares about the well being of the youth and education policy, and pursued funding for the refitting of windows at Twerton Infant School. Tim is married to Sharon; together, they have five children and twelve grandchildren.

SARAH MOORE: Sarah has been serving as a voice for Twerton and Whiteway on the Council since 2019. She is a lifelong resident of Bath, and has called Twerton home for more than twenty five years. An active member of the community, Sarah has been involved in numerous campaigns, such as resurfacing of damaged roads and making our pavements safer. If re-elected, Sarah would like to focus on ensuring more family homes for local residents and more improvements across Twerton and Whiteway that benefit the residents. Sarah is married, with two children, and works as a Revenues Invoicing Coordinator for a computer software company where she has been for almost thirty five years.

Please remember, you will need photo ID if you are voting in person or you can apply for a postal vote. Full details can be found here.

Wedgwood Road Name signs

Really pleased to see the wrongly spelt street name signs have finally be replaced.

We have a number of other signs across the area that we have requested are replaced due to damage and hope these will also be installed soon.
