After it being drawn to our attention that some of the bus timetables were incorrect for the number 5 Bus service on Newton Road we have taken action to have the matter resolved.
1) All of the timetables have been checked and some have been found to be in the wrong place and this has been corrected.
2) In some places we identified that the the bus timetables were actually missing and we have now had these replaced.
If you know of any other issues with timetables in Twerton then please let us know.

Bus Shelters and Bus Stops Kelston View
A new Bus shelter has been installed on Kelston View by Wedgewood Road flats as part of the Bath Transport package to encourage greater bus use across the area.
The controversial bus build out by 38 Kelston View will soon be removed and the original bus stop put back as it was. This was brought about by complaints from local residents.

Kelston View Bus Stops
In a meeting with Council officers this morning we came to agreement to remove that build out close to 36 to 38 Kelston View.
The reasons for this is that the bus stop is very rarely used and the build out in this location removes valuable parking spaces.
Buses will still pull up at this bus stop if required by someone waiting at the stop but there will be no bus stop making on the ground restricting any parking.
To be very clear the only bus that may need to use this stop is the number 20 service.

Bus Stops Kelston View
We have been having a few issues with bus stops on Kelston View in the past few moths and just when we think that we have got it sorted another problem occurs.
The first issue was with a bus stop being put in outside of Wedgewood road flats that was taking away valuable parking spaces.
We are pleased that this matter has now been sorted and the bus stop is being altered to reinstate the parking spaces.
What we could not believe is that just when this matter was resolved that the council started to put in a bus build out by 38 Kelston View that we and residents had already objected to as the bus stop is never used, again removing valuable parking spaces. This work has now been stopped until we are happy with the situation and can resolve the issue of further parking spaces being lost.

Newton Road improvements
We have asked for the road sign at the rear of Newton Road on the Junction of Shaws Way to be repainted or replaced.
We have reached agreement with Curo Housing association to look into the poor kerbing along Newton road and to replace it as soon as possible.
We have also asked for one of the two litter bins that are located outside of the cost cutter shop to be relocated to the bus stop outside of St Michael's School as we believe that this will lesson the litter problem on this part of Newton Road.

We are also pleased to see that the broken sign pictured outside of First Steps Nursery has been replaced with a new sign.

We would hope that whoever vandalised the old sign would leave the new one alone.

New Bus Stops in Twerton
The installation of new bus stops is moving at quite a pace and it seems that most people are happy with the work that is being carried out.
The money has come for the Bath Transport Package that is support by the Government and the Council administration.
We have however picked up a few grumbles that we are dealing with such as tarmac over a gutter in Kelston View.
If you have any comments about the installation that you have not already brought to our attention then please let us know.

New Bus Shelter for High Street

We have made an additional request for a new bus shelter and bus stop to be installed at the Parade Twerton High Street.
Many residents have complained that they get wet when waiting for a bus to go to other parts of Twerton & the Whiteway estate. The new shelter and seat will help many people.
