Twerton Litter Picks

Cllr Tim Ball & Cllr Gerry Curran at Shophouse Road
We both went on two litter picks today the first one was at 9.30am at the bottom of Shophouse Road where we were joined by our colleagues from Westmoreland Ward. Where between us we removed at least 7 bags of rubbish from the land on the corner of High Street.

The Second litter pick was in the park behind the Centurion Public house Poolemead Road where we removed another 5 bags of rubbish.

Councillor Gerry Curran complained that the majority of the rubbish close to the garages came from the mini recycling centres operated by Somer Housing, Gerry spent 20 minutes just clearing this mess up.

We will be complaining to Somer on Monday morning about there need to keep an eye on this area.
