We have been out and about in Redland park in the last few weeks looking at items that need to be resolved.
We are pleased to report that the speed tables approaches have all been relaid making driving on the roads much better.
Today we were out again in Redland Park with Curo officers being updated on some of the works that we have asked them to do.
1) Litter picking has been taking place carried out by the probation services and the whole estate looks much cleaner. Two more sessions have been booked to take place and we are hopeful that these can be extended.
2) The new litter bins that we had asked for have now been ordered and we are hopeful that these will soon be in place.
3) A new community notice board will be erected at the entrance to Redland park at the rear of Day Crescent which will be controlled by Curo .
4) The overgrown woodland area beside and below 73 Redland park is to be cleared of all of the rubbish and the brambles will be taken away so the area can be cut as a grassed area.
5) The area behind the garages to the rear of Rodney House will have all the old furniture and rubbish removed.
The above two items should take place next week
6) A number of gardens that have become full of rubbish are being investigated by Curo and will have enforcement action taken to ensure that they are cleared up.
7) The area beside Woodview Terrace is to have the old broken down fencing removed.
We would like to thank Curo for taking the above action and the council for resolving the speed tables.
By Councillors Tim Ball & Gerry Curran.
