Work has begun to patch repair the road surface at Poolemead Road but is this really the answer to a problem that we have had for some years now.
Although the Patch repairs will help the surface for a short period of time it will not resolve the problem. The whole road needs to be dug up and the concrete understructure needs to be broken up as we had done on Newton road a few years ago.
We have asked the Council to investigate a full resurfacing of Poolmead Road from its Wedgewood Road Junction down to the Junction with Shaws Way, We have also asked that the grass areas that people park on opposite 46 to 32 Poolemead have plastic grass put on them as this will remove some of the damage being caused to the grass.
