PLAY AREA IMPROVEMENTS
Work to improve the play facilities is due to start in June 2019 and, subject to weather conditions, should be complete by mid-July, in time for the school summer holidays.
The work, which has been led by feedback from the consultation, will include:
• A complete overhaul of the fenced play area with a range of new play equipment focused mainly on children up to the age of 6
• A multi-sports unit (football and basketball) with an area of synthetic grass and natural stone play boulders for older children
• New seating in the play area and a short section of path linking the play area to the existing path - making the play area more accessible
The play area will be out of bounds from early June to early July to allow work to take place safely.
