Mini crime wave hits Twerton

If you can help the Police on any of these issues below please contact them on the local Police number 101.

On Monday 8th April between 10.00am and 7.00pm, unknown offenders have caused damage to the door lock of a property in Dominion Road, Bath.

Between Monday 1st April and Thursday 4th April, unknown offenders have gained access to the rear garden of a property in Freeview Road, whereby they have attempted to force a ground floor bedroom window.  No entry was gained.

During the afternoon of Tuesday 26th March, beat team officers attended Redland Park, Bath following the report of a nuisance mini moto being driven around. A local male was found riding the bike, which was immediately seized.  He has been reported for having no insurance, and should he be unable to produce the necessary insurance paperwork, the vehicle will be crushed.
Should you witness nuisance bikes in your area, please contact the police on 101.

On Monday 1st April at 3.30pm, damage was caused to a red Seat Ibiza in Sheridan Road, Bath.

Motor Cycles stolen

I am picking up reports of motorcycles being stolen in Twerton. This is very concerning as it is happening in the day time when someone must be seeing who is doing it.

If you see any suspicious activities or see some one with a motorcycle either having trouble starting it or you know they do not have a bike then please call the Police on 101.

It is better to report a suspected crime than to ignore it.

Steps by Southside youth Centre

Bath & North East Somerset council have confirmed that a contractor has been instructed to put down white keep clear lines in front of the steps by the Southside Youth Centre in Poolemead Road.

A while ago we reported that visitors were parking in front of these steps causing problems for local residents.

We hope that the new keep Clear lines will be down quite soon giving relief for  local residents.

Rubbish bags out late

I have asked the council to follow up on rubbish bags that were put out after collections on Poolemead Road today.

The bags were put outside of the Centurion and also by 53 Wedgewood Road.

I have asked that the bags are removed and an attempt made to see who put them out.

Broken Paving Stones

I have asked for the kerb stones along Dominion Road to be inspected and repaired to a reasonable standard.

The ones pictured are bad and dangerous but these are not the only ones that need repairing as there are many more along this road that are in bad condition.

I would hope that the council would repair these as soon possible.

Lots of Litter removed from Redland Park

Had a good litter pick this afternoon in Redland Park.

Thanks to Some help and little ones we picked up seven bags of litter in just over Twenty rreminutes from the side of number 12 Redland Park. There is still much more litter to remove from alongside the rear fence behind St Michael's Junior School and I will be returning to pick this in the next few days.

It still baffles me as to why people have to drop litter when there is a litter Bin close by.

It s my intention to organise a large litter pick in Redland Park over the next few weeks and I will post the dates on this blog so residents can come and join us.
