The problem of a Mini Recycling Centre 2

We have asked the council to clear up the mess by the Mini Recycling centre at Walwyn Close.

It seems that some people have no pride by the amount of mess that has been left in this area.

If you see a mess that needs clearing up in any area then will you please call council connect and let them know about it, then ring us if it continues to be a problem.

Please empty me

We have asked for the litter bin at Cleeve Green that is overflowing to be emptied as soon as possible.

It is a problem that keeps happening and we continue to report the problem. If you see a bin that needs emptying then please phone council connect on 01225 394041 and let us know if it remains a problem.

Refuse collections

Tuesday is the time for rubbish collection and recycling collections in Twerton, but from what I can see of it from the amount of uncollected rubbish and recycling on the streets in Twerton they have a job on their hands.

The council will be attempting to remove all the rubbish and recycling today but i am expecting to get a few calls saying that their have been missed collections.

Please be patient and let council connect know on 394041 if for some reason yours has not been collected.

Waste Strategy review

Bath & North East Somerset Council in 2005 approved moving towards a Zero Waste  strategy by 2020 . The Council have we have updated the main statistics and key achievements part of the report regularly.  However, the original action plan was for 5 years to 2010.

The council have have carried out a more thorough review this time, to bring it up to date with recent and forthcoming legislation.

It also now includes a specific consultation section on key corporate and proposed waste policies, together with a summary of key actions and projects for 2011/12, which the council are seeking people’s views on.
