Pennard Green & Cleeve Green

After receiving complaints from residents I have asked that the dog warden keep an eye on this area in order to stop the person who is letting his dog foul all over the area.

I have also asked that signs are put on lamp posts in the area asking people to clean up after their dogs.

Cleeve Green

Do we need to introduce parking restrictions at Cleeve Green opposite the Cleeve Court elderly persons home, that is a question that we have been asking ourselves for some time now.

The problem that has been taking place is that people working in the home and visitors to home have been parking on the grass churning up the area and making the area look very untidy.

We have tried working around the issue by having some bollards installed only to find people parking in between them.

We have after quite a lot of deliberations asked for a formal consultation to take place on the introduction of restricted parking regulations on the Cleeve green side of the road that runs from outside of 1 Cleeve green to 36 Cleeve Green.

We would hope that we could still draw back from this but that depends on the response from those people currently parking in the grass verge.

Pavements in parts of Twerton

We have asked the council to investigate the issues of green moss growing through some of our paths in Pennard, Green Cleeve Green and Shaws way that have recently been slurry sealed to protect them from wear and tear.

We are concerned that this moss could become slippery in the winter months and want to make sure that all of our residents are safe.

The council have been quick to respond saying that they will investigate the matter and bring about a resolution as quickly as possible.

Twerton Walk around with Curo

We had a very good walk around yesterday with Curo staff  and identified some items that need to be sorted out in the area.

Newton Road

We walked along Newton Road and resolved that there needed to be work carried out on several sets of steps pictured to put railings on and repairs made. We also looked at a garden that needed to be reseeded.

Camely Green 

It has been reported that a road sign to the rear of 78 needs to be replaced we would hope that this would quickly be sorted.







Cleeve Green 

We have reported the missing Road sign close to 21 Cleeve Green which we would hope to have sorted shortly.

We have also again reported the crumbling wall beside number one for urgent repair and attention.




Pennard Green

We have reported the collapsing wall by the garage block for attention although it odes not seem dangerous at the moment it requires work to be done, we have also reported the dumping of garden waste in black sacks at the same location.





Shaws Way

We have reported the condition of the road surface behind 12 and the poor condition of the footpath beside the same house as well as the condition of the path from number 3 Shaws Way up to number 12 and have asked that it us given some attention.

Pennard & Cleeve Green.

We are pleased that after pressing for the surfacing of these Greens to be resurfaced for many years now that the council are in the process of slurry sealing these paths that will create a much better surface to walk on.

We are pressing for other paths in the area to be resurfaced in the area.

Cleeve Green

I have today asked the council to look at completing the council to complete the bollards on the grass verge opposite the Cleeve court extra care home in Twerton.

A grew years ago several bollards were put into place to stop large vehicles using the grass as a extra area for turning their vehicles.

The problem now is that cars are now parking on the verge whilst visiting the home and churning all the grass up into a complete mud soaked area.

I intend making sure that this is completed by using some of my ward councillor initiative.

Cleeve Green

I have again asked Curo again to replace the Bollard that has been deliberaltely knocked out of the ground at Cleeve Green.

I would hope that the bollard would be back in place as soon as possible.

If you know of the person who caused this mindless vandalism will you please ether let the Police know on 101 or contact us directly.

This sort of vandalism causes increased bills.

Dangerous Wall Cleeve Green

I am chasing Curo to get this wall fixed at Cleeve Green that I reported in early July as needing urgent repair.

It can be seen from the pictures that the wall is falling apart and I am concerned about the danger to young children passing by.

It is not acceptable for this not to have been dealt with by now and I have relayed my concern to Curo on this point.


I am hopeful that Curo will carry out these repairs in the near future.

Bollards down

I have asked for the bollard that has been knocked out of the ground at Cleeve green to be replaced as soon as possible.

It is very important for the Safety of Children that unauthorised cars and vans stay off of these paths and that is why we had the bollards put in.

Curo are responsible for these posts and i hope that this is replaced as soon as possible.

Dangerous Wall Cleeve Green

We have asked Curo to urgently deal with the dangerous wall outside of 1 Cleeve Green.

The wall is cracked very badly and leans violently forwards.

It is only time before it falls on some one so we have asked that urgent attention is given to its repair.

Sainsbury's unhelpful after trolley dumped

I have asked Sainsbury's in Bath City Centre to remove the shopping trolley that has been dumped at Cleeve Green.

I am a little shocked at the response from Sainsbury's customer services who told me that the trolley would not be moved until next week.

With this attitude from one of our major retailers is it no wonder we have so many in our rivers or left dumped for weeks on end.

I have now spoken to a member of Sainsbury's management about this and am hoping for a better response although I am not convinced.

It is not correct for the trolley to be moved at the expense of the council tax payer although this may be an avenue that I may need to employ.

It is also not helpful for people to remove trolleys from the Supermarkets and dump them in the street.

I have been chasing CURO with regards to untidy gardens in the area that they were cutting until recently.

I have received assurances that theses areas will be brought up to standard over the next few weeks.

It seems a shame that it is the most vulnerable elderly people who have disadvantaged the most as it is mainly there gardens that have been left.

Waste Collections need sorting

I have asked that the rubbish collection at Cleeve is sorted out as the mess in the picture is appearing every week.

I have asked that the mess is cleared up without delay.

It seems that the person responsible for putting out the rubbish may need assistance in dealing with how to separate their waste as it is being put out on a Monday night and being attacked by the Sea Gulls.
